About Us

Who the f#*! is Raven Clothing?
Many, many, years ago a very small and very tired Erin MacNeill, having little understanding of what she was getting herself into, decided she would open a clothing shop.
Having had painfully little work experience, almost no cash, and many, many issues with health and education, she set out to learn everything needed to run a business.
Never one to outsource a task she could do herself, our fearless Erin spent many hours learning to make clothes, paint and draw, keep the books, source wholesale products, sell online and pack and ship orders.
Eventually miss Erin decided on a local weekly market to sell her strange collection of wares to the confused people of the Canberra region. Fate would have it that this endeavour proved profitable, and soon enough it was time to find a permanent home for these bizarre products. Luckily for Erin she found many amazing artists and contributors, and Raven Clothing & Accessories, perched above the city centre, became a thriving hub of activity.
Local, interstate and international musicians had a place to sell their merchandise. Artists and crafts people found a corner to display their efforts. Other clothing designers quickly filed the racks, and Raven became an odd little escape from the everyday world.
But fate, as it usually does, had other plans. Unbeknownst to Erin, far, far away, in a country called America, many greedy people were hard at work tanking the global economy.
So, armed with user friendly web building tools, and an overwhelming urge to run away from all her troubles, our friend Erin loaded up the car and moved to Beverly, Hills that is, Swimming pools, Movie Stars…. Well, not quite.
Situated in the mystical land of Victoria, Erin set to work selling her wares by any means necessary. This was a long time ago, and independent stores still filled the retail landscape as far as the eye could see.
Erin enjoyed the freedom of creating her own designs, but yearned to truly understand how to correctly make these garments. As fate would have it, there was a school just jumping at the chance to take on a new fee paying student.
So our Erin worked away, week in week out, to gain more skills and knowledge about her chosen craft.
Despite numerous attempts by the Despair Squid and its partner in crime, Anxiety, with its constant taunts of “Go faster, you aren’t good enough”, to drag Erin into its cold depression clutches, our now very tired, and very sore Erin came up with plan to take over the world.
Raven, now reborn for legal reasons as Corvus Mellori Clothing, made its way to Europe via the 2014 London Edge Trade show.
Releasing its first full collection, Corvus Mellori Clothing took its place alongside all the inspirational brands Erin had loved so much.
But what goes up must come down. Despite good sales, Corvus was unable to financially sustain itself beyond that first collection.
Disappointment and despair finally caught hold and dragged Erin down into its lair……..

And now, almost 25 years since Raven was born, she’s back….. Bitch……
